- I had pretty horrible teeth, and spent a lot of money on making them look like pretty average teeth.I bought this toothbrush after reading several reviews online on various toothbrushes (sad, I know) and found that most people raved about this particular model.I am now a raver. I blooming love this toothbrush. My gums and teeth are in the best condition they have ever been in, and my teeth are actually whiter!! Its portable case makes it easy and clean to pack away and take on holiday with you, the charging point is elegant and aesthetically pleasing and most of all easy to clean; and you can even charge it with a USB cable for when your away!It seems pricey but they say the two things you shouldn’t be cheap about are your teeth and your bed. This is definitely worth every penny.
- Yes it was a little pricey, but it is so nice and really quite fancy. I love that I can charge it in it’s case to my computer. Very sleek and modern. The cup charger is quite nice and is really well designed. I do wish it had two buttons on/off switch and the setting control.I used to be able to stop in the middle of one session and it would reset itself. Here you have to hit the power button and set it back in the cup or case to reset it.But overall…. well worth the price. 🙂 Happy!
- This Philips Sonicare HX9352/04 is a very different toothbrush compared to my Oral-B Pro 6000 toothbrush. The Oral-B comes with four toothbrush heads so it feels like it’s intended for a typical family of four people to use. The Philips Sonicare comes with just one head, which gives the impression that it’s your personal toothbrush. Of course you can buy more heads but these cost a lot. One replacement Philips toothbrush head costs more than a pack of four from Oral-B. But the biggest difference is what I guess you’d call the Sonicare feature. It doesn’t vibrate like any kind of electric toothbrush I’ve encountered before, it’s like you’re shoving 10,000 volts through a mosquito. And in the process reveals that I have an intensely ticklish tongue. The Sonicare is supposed to improve gum health and I think this is probably the case, but I am slightly alarmed by the intensity of vibration. It feels like it could shake a loose tooth or filling free. Kill or cure, I guess.Battery life at 3 weeks is excellent, and it’s nice to be able to charge using a standard USB adaptor.
CONS:
- The box was marked “not for resale” – why? Did I get some “demo” model??? This is a fancy toothbrush with a choice of clean, white, polish, gum, and sensitive options, but no manual came with it to explain how I should use these options. Do I go through the entire cycle every brushing? Do I polish daily, weekly, ???? You have to manually move it to each setting. My regular Sonicare played out, so this high-dollar one was in inpulse buy. I paid waaaay too much ($197)for it, and I don’t see where it performs any differently.
- I’ll not repeat all the good things that many people have said on here, as on the whole this is a very good toothbrush with great noticeable results. However I would just like to point out that since purchasing this in December of 2013 I am about to receive my 2nd warranty replacement on the handle. The first replacement was March 2015 due to the on/off button becoming all squidgy and not turning the device on despite a full charge. I religiously dry the device after each use and never submerge it in water. Now in December 2015 I am returning that warranty replacement for another due to the exact same fault. Thankfully the initial device has a 2 year warranty and each subsequent warranty replacement has a year warranty.
